Dr. Jacob Cookey

Dr. Jacob Cookey is a psychiatrist in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He earned his science degree from McGill and his medical degree from Dalhousie, where he also completed a Master’s in Medical Sciences focusing on neuroimaging. He specialized in psychiatry and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie, teaching and supervising medical trainees. His current practice includes consultations for the RCMP, Canadian Armed Forces, and Veterans Affairs. His research includes publications related to mood and psychotic disorders, neuroimaging, medical education, and novel health tech systems. Dr. Cookey is co-founder and Head of Medical Education at Virtual Hallway, a health tech platform for clinicians to access specialists via phone consults.
