Leandra Wells

Country General Manager, Canada

Leandra Wells is the Country General Manager, at Galderma Canada. In this role, she is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and cultural priorities for Galderma Canada, a pure-play dermatology company which leverages science and innovation to create impactful solutions for every skin story.

Her diverse background includes experience in both start-up, and large multi-national pharmaceutical settings, as well a breadth of functional experience including commercial, market access, medical affairs, and even academic teaching. Most recently, she held the position of Business Unit Head at GSK overseeing the General Medicines team and portfolio, and prior to that, she also held senior level commercial leadership roles in hematology and oncology at Johnson & Johnson.

Leandra has proven success in driving transformational change across large organizations, instilling a culture of competitiveness, agility and innovation at every level. She inspires and enables her teams to achieve beyond their own expectations by leveraging her strengths in being curious and continuously challenging the status quo.

In 2022, Leandra was recognized by, and among, her Pharma Industry Executive peers with the Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame Award.

Leandra holds an MBA, from the Schulich School of Business, and a PhD in Molecular Developmental Biology from the University of Toronto.
